On May 30th, the Chinese Athletics Public Standard in Campus and the 7thJZMU Athletics Games were held at the East Campus Athletics Stadium in Jinzhou Medical University.
Named the Chinese Athletics Public Standard in Campus for the first time, the Athletics Games adopted the FIPLE electronic timing system certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations, demonstrating that the JZMU track and field event organization and competitive level have entered the forefront of domestic universities.
In his opening speech, Qu Wei stated that in recent years, JZMU has implemented the “Implementation Plan for JZMU Physical Education Reform”, making physical fitness testing a mandatory academic requirement, strengthening the construction of sports facilities, upgrading the intelligent lighting system of track and field fields, improving the integration of sports and medicine laboratory, creating brand activities such as “JZMU Anniversary Long Run” and “Fluorescent Night Run”. Otherwise, JZMU also provided professional medical support for the Jinzhou Marathon as a co-organizer. Exercise is not only the stretching of muscles, but also the awakening of life energy; It's not just about physical fitness, but also about shaping one’s spiritual character. He hoped that all teachers and students could uphold the Olympic spirit of “Faster, higher, stronger, and more united” to practice the concept of “Exercising for one hour every day, working healthily for fifty years, and living happily for a lifetime”.
The First Clinical Medical School, the Third Clinical Medical School, and the School of Pharmacy ranked among the top three in terms of overall student team performance; First Clinical Medical School, the Third Clinical Medical School and the Administration were ranked among the top three in the total score of the faculty group. Six units and 30 classes have been awarded the titles of “Advanced Collective of Spiritual Civilization” and “Advanced Class of Spiritual Civilization”, and 8 units have won the Special Contribution Award.
