On June 13th, Li Xiaokun, academician of the CAE Member and president of Wenzhou Medical University (WMU),together with his delegation visited our university for investigation and exchange. Principal Wen Deliang, President Qu Wei, and Jiang Huamao, head of the First Clinical Medical School (The First Affiliated Hospital), attended the relevant activities. The heads of relevant departments of the university, members of the leadership team of the First Clinical Medical School, heads of clinical teaching and research departments, representatives of postgraduate and undergraduate students participated in academic exchange activities.
At the symposium, both sides had in-depth exchanges on further improving the overall discipline construction level of the university, major award application, degree point construction, and talent introduction policies. Academician Li introduced the basic situation, construction and development process, scientific and technological innovation, and future development vision of WMU from the aspects of cultural heritage inheritance, educational accumulation, discipline construction, faculty team, education system, international exchange and cooperation, teaching hospital, and theoretical innovation and clinical translation of cell growth factor drugs.
Academician Li delivered a special academic report titled “Theoretical Innovation and Clinical Translation Research of Cell Growth Factor Drugs”. He systematically reviewed the breakthrough achievements and clinical application practices in the field of cell growth factor drug research and development, comprehensively introduced the development of WMU in related fields, and focused on the reform measures, institutional operation, and development characteristics in the construction of talent training system and scientific and technological innovation platform. He also elaborated on the practical experience of exploring the “Wenzhou model” of wound repair discipline.
Academician Li Xiaokun and President Qu Wei attended the signing ceremony and unveiling ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the two parties. The First Affiliated Hospital of JZMU and the First Affiliated Hospital of WMU have signed a cooperation agreement for implementing in-depth cooperation in areas such as technology sharing, talent cultivation, scientific research, and grassroots services, and jointly creating a wound repair regional medical center with leading technology, innovative models and wide coverage.
After the signing and unveiling ceremony, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on technological innovation and clinical translation. Based on the advanced experience of WMU and its First Affiliated Hospital, the two parties have had further exchanges on mechanism operation, technological breakthroughs, and services for the benefit of the people, laying a solid foundation for the sustained and efficient promotion of project cooperation.
